In 1850 Cecele Dubruel (53, Mo) is living in St. Louis Co., Missouri, District 82 in the household of her son Paschal Dubruel at 930/930. A widowed sister Oro Manard lives at 929/929 and a brother Francis Creely lives at 933/933. Her sister Elizabeth, married to Peter Piant, lives at 928/928.

On December 29, 1846 Cecile (X) DeBreuil, widow of Pascal DuBreuil, dec'd, states to the judge of the Probate Court that Pascal DuBreuil died without a will and that she will faithfully administer the estate, and that the heirs are herself; Julie Clement and Archange, wife of Francis Tison, daughters of the deceased; Pascal Dubreuil, John Dubreuil, and Orol Dubreuil, sons of the deceased; and Joseph and Virginie Cailloux, children of Cecile Cailloux, dec'd, a daughter of the deceased; all of whom reside in the County of St. Louis. On the same date Cecile (X) Dubreuil, as principal, and Michael Crely and Pascal (X) Dubreuil, as securities, are bound unto the State of Missouri in the amount of $600 for the faithful administration of the estate by Cecile Dubreuil, administratrix.

On Feburary 1, 1847 an appraisement of the personal property of the deceased is presented to the court. There are 16 items worth $49.75. The most valuable is a black mare worth $15. In April 1843 Reuben L. Wakefield sued Paschal Dubra because of the latter's failure to pay a promissory note for $16.48. The court issued a judgement in favor of the plaintiff, and on May 15, 1847 Wakefield presents the judgement to the Probate Court and requests an allowance against the estate. In an account presented to the March 1849 term of the court, there is a debit of $27.00 relative to Wakefield and the balance in the estate is $27.95.

HEIRS:

Archange DuBreuil, daughter of Pascal DuBreuil and Cecile Crilis, married François Tison June 29, 1841 (62/178). Which daughter was she? I suspect that the full name of Marie, born in 1823, was Archange Marie. Orol, named in the probate proceedings as a son, may be the daughter Aurore born in 1830.
