Her brother Solomon J. Hitt lives at 1000/1000, and two brothers-in-law, Benjamin Williams and Harris Samuels, live at 1010/1010 and 1006/1006, respectively. James's father Benjamin Everet lives at 1003/1003, and his brother John Everet lives at 1004/1004.

In the 1850's, James Taylor Gaines Everitt, his wife, Elizabeth Jane Hitt, and their children, David Benjamin, who was born in 1847 and died in 1935; Gaines Meek, who was born in 1851 and died in 1933; James Cicero, who was born in 1854 and died in 1943; Francis Strother, who was born in 1857 and died in 1947; his elderly father Benjamin Everitt, Jr.; his brothers and sisters and their families, moved through Newton County, Mississippi, and on to Polkville, Smith County, Mississippi, around 1858.
