The deed of May 24, 1871 mentions Jane Turpin, formerly Hinds and Vincent, her husband, Polly A. Turpin and Richard, her husband, George W. Hinds and Ellen Hinds, heirs of John Hinds, deceased. John died before May 24, 1871. He and his wife are not in the 1870 census. They probably died before 1870.
