TUCUMCARI, N.M. - Bascom "Tucum" Fields, 82, died Saturday, Nov. 6, 1999.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m today in Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Jim Witcher, minister of First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the family plot by Dunn Funeral Home.

Mr. Fields was born in Weatherford, Texas and moved to Tucumcari in 1934. During World War II, he served with the Army. He retired as a construction engineer and was a member of First Christian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jennie Lou Fields; a son, Jimmie Fields of Gloucester, Va.; a sister, Mary Lou Joiner of Hereford; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Jennie Lou Fields, 82, died on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005.
She was born Feb. 7, 1923, in Tucumcari. She had been a homemaker and was a member of the First Christian Church of Tucumcari.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Basom (Tucum) Fields, in 1999.
She is survived by her son, Jimmy Fields of Tucumcari; four grandchildren, Warren Fields and Kimberly Rich, both of Tucumcari, Leighanne Smith of Gloucester, Va., and Virginia and Guy Williams of Elderburg, Md.; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Louis Kinkead (and wife, Jo) of Junction, Texas, and Jimmy Kinkead (Rosemary) of Blue River, Ore.; two sisters, Dorothy Farmer of Albuquerque and JoAnne Crocket of Winslow, Ariz.
Services were held in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Jim Witcher, minister of the First Christian Church, officiating.
Burial followed in the family plot of the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honorary pall bearers were Lewis Kinkead, Jimmy Kinkead, Warren Fields, Pat Andrews, T. J. Rich and Phill Bidegain.
Arrangements were by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari
