For the St. Louis Christian Advocate.

Died --- At his residence near Pisgah, Cooper county, Mo., August 24, 1854, Bro. WILLIAMSON GUYER, in the sixty sixth year of his age. He was born Nov. 15, 1787, in the State of North Carolina, emigrated to Kentucky while very young, there he lived till his 30th year, and there he was married, and in the 34th year of his age he moved to Missouri. Shorly after his arrival he professed religion and joined the Methodist Episcopal Church, and subsequently preferred that branch always known in the South as true Methodist. He was truly established and firm, conversing with the writer a few days before he died, he told him that he was now ready to go to a better home. He left a family of children and also servants to mourn their loss, but his everlasting gain.
