In a letter to her grand-nephew Louis Bogy written in Big Spring, Texas September 6, 1975, Roxie Wilson Haston says:

There was 3 boys who died before my time but those that lived to be grown are two brothers Jessie & Oscar, my sisters are Alice, Ethel, Ruby, myself & Opal. Just Ethel & I are all that is left.
