HEATH
Faun L. Health, 80, 721 Kern Drive passed away Friday in a local hospital. Resident of El Paso 40 years. He was a member of El Paso Elks Lodge No. 187. Survived by wife Mrs. Ruth Heath of El Paso. 2 sisters Mrs. Lorena Crawford of Dallas, Texas and Miss Ethel Heath of Ft. Worth, Texas. Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday in Martin Chapel, Rev. Clifford Hargrave, Pastor of 1st Christian Church officiating. Graveside services will be conducted by B.P.O. Elks Lodge No. 187 at Restlawn Memorial Park. Directed by Martin.

The 65th District Court of El Paso Co., Texas, November Term 1929, Cause No. 32799 (Florence Heath, plaintiff, vs. F. L. Heath, defendant), Vol 9, pg 205: the court grants to the plaintiff a divorce but denies the relief prayed for by the plaintiff as to the community property saying that the division of the community property had been settled by the parties. The costs of the case are taxed against the plaintiff. (Deed Records, Armstrong Co., Texas 40/381)
May 25, 1936 -- affidavit of Mrs. Florence Walton before a notary public in Pima Co., Arizona: she swears 1) that she owns lot 10, block 24 in the original town of Claude, Texas, 2) that she has been married but once and that marriage was to F. L. Heath, from whom she is now divorced, and 3) that since the divorce was granted to her, she has not since been married, and is now a single person. (40/382)
May 26, 1936 -- Mrs. Florence Heath, a feme sole, formerly of Armstrong Co. but now of Tuscon[sic], Arizona for $200 cash and a $200 note due January 1, 1937 bearing interest at 8% and the assumption by the buyer of the taxes now due and unpaid sells to Robert E. Miller of Armstrong Co. lot 10, block 24 in the original town of Claude. (40/380-81)
CENSUS:
In 1940 Florence Dailey (46, Tx, D, saleslady/dry goods store) is a lodger with many, many other people in the Salvation Army Hotel in San Diego, California (sheet 85B, 11 Apr 1940). Some are guests and some are lodgers. According to the census she was living in the same house April 1, 1935. Next to her entry is that of her sister Claudia Grissom (lodger, 48, Tx, Wd). Claudia is said to be 'New Worker', but 'New Worker' is marked out. Claudia's entry indicates that she too was living in the same house April 1, 1935, but in fact she wasn't.
