Joseph Hinds is principally associated with Guilford Co., North Carolina (before 1779) and with Randolph Co., North Carolina (after 1779). He did have a daughter named Mary. She is mentioned in his will by first name only. The Mary Hinds who married Ephraim Parmley may or may not be Joseph's daughter. It is a bit strange that a daughter of Joseph Hinds would marry in Wilkes Co.
