Ruth Sharp in the 1850 census can be traced back to Wm. Sharp's entry in the 1810 census for Wayne Co., Kentucky. Joseph Hinds II (1737-1815) mentions a daughter named Ruth in his will. Ruth Sharp's birth year is in the right age range for a child of Joseph II. Find-a-Grave alleges that one of Ruth Sharp's daughers was named Laura Hines Sharp.
