The following is from a research article about John Balthasar Hinkle and his children. It was sent to me by Robert L. Hess of Oakland, California, a descendent of John Balthasar. Numbers in brackets indicate notes which follow. See also page 1459 of the HENCKEL GENEALOGICAL BULLETIN.


Catharina Hinckel, born 16 Sep 1775 and baptized 10 Dec 1775 in the Lutheran church at Frederick.[13] She died 21 Jan 1779 at age three "of a chest disease."[19] (A sister born subsequently was given the same name.)
