She owns an unmortgaged farm. Her son J. Henry Hitt lives at 208/208 and another son Jesse T. Hitt lives at 209/209.

In June 1839 he sold the SW quarter of S29 (D/634). In February 1839 he & Grim W. Grant bought at auction 200 acres in S30 & S31 T18N R3W (E/175), which had originally been patented to Daniel Hitt on 5/15/1837 and then sold to Benjamin L. Hitt in July 1838 (C/309). In January 1852 he bought 137 acres in T16N R4W (M/41) and in February he bought another 22 acres in the same township and 160 acres in S30 T17N R3W (M/42). In November 1853 he sold the 200 acres in S30 & S31 to Rebecca Hitt, the widow of his brother Austin Hitt (N/55). In 1854 he sold his land in T16N R4W (N/69, N372).

These two tracts are about a mile apart. They are close to Oswell Hitt, William J. Reese, and John B. Munn, about 2 miles from Hubbard N. Reese, and about 4 miles from Marshall Hitt.
