In 1840 Catherine is presumably the woman 50-60 living in Carroll Co., Tennessee with her younger brother John D. Jones. Their mother also lives in that household.

In 1850 Catharine Jones (50, SC) is living in Carroll Co., Tennessee in the household of Robert Gill (34, SC, blacksmith). Robert is married to Catharine's niece Rebecca and is in the sequence George Montgomery (55), Thomas Montgomery (23), x, Johnathan Jones, 8x, Ann Jones (34), x, Robert Gill (34). Johnathan Jones is Catharine's brother and George Montgomery is her brother-in-law. Catherine's mother Elizabeth Jones (84) lives with Ann Jones.
