Mary is mentioned as Mary Whiteside in the 1804 will of her father. There are two Whitesides in the 1790 census in Chester Co. -- Hugh and William. When Hugh wrote his will in 1800, his wife was Margaret. Mary's husband was probably William Whiteside.

This conjecture is strengthened by the fact that after the executors named in the 1804 will of Mary's father declined to serve, William Whiteside was granted letters of administration on the estate.
