NAME:

As an adult he is "Herbert" in the census, and the name on his death certificate is "Herbert". As a child in the household of his father his name is "Hubbard". He is 'Hub' in the record of his first marriage in 1911, but he is 'Herbert' when he remarries in 1920. Did he change his name? I don't know.
