He is next to his nephew John Coats Jr.

From 1828 to 1841 Edmund McGuire is in Philadephia city directories, living at 70 Plum, the same address where his mother-in-law lived from 1816 until her death in 1830. In the 1828 directory his entry is in a special section limited to Southwark. From 1828 to 1835-36 he is said to be an "accompt" and from 1839 to 1841 he is a collector. Edmund McGuire married in 1812. It is not clear why he is absent from city directories until 1828. In the 1819 directory there is a "Mrs. McGuire of Edmund".

150 MARTHA WALTON (5), daughter of 51 Samuel Walton & his 2nd wife Sarah Steiner of Phila., married Dec. 12, 1812 Edmund McGuire, from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church of Phila. Her mother's will, drawn 1829, indicates Martha was then alive and had this son:
