Billy Hinkle Parker

Billy Hinkle Parker, 67, died Thursday at Queen of the Valley Hospital.
Mr. Parker was born and raised near Tucumcari, N.M. He came to California in the 1940s and first worked at the Desert Inn in Palm Springs as a supply manager. He served in the Armed Forces during World War II and came to Napa in 1959. He was employed with the Napa Electric Co. as a purchasing agent until his retirement in 1980.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Napa; a son, David of Vacaville; and two daughters, Marylin Chambers of Sacramento and Billie Kirkendall of Woodland. He is also survived by six grandchildren, six brothers and sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
At Mr. Parker's request, no services will be held. Inurnment will be private. The family suggests memorial contributions to charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements were under the direction of Richard Pierce Funeral Service.

MILITARY:

Billy Parker served in the Army during World War II. He enlisted 25 May 1942 and was released 27 Oct 1943.

Clara C. Jobe

Long time Tucumcari, NM, resident, Clara C. Jobe, age 88, passed away in Clovis, NM, on Wednesday morning, October 22, 2008, following an extended illness.
Clara Jobe was born January 14, 1920, to Oscar W. and Ora B. Shoemaker in Chester, TX. She had been a long time Quay County resident. She had been a member of the Grace Tabernacle in Tucumcari, NM. She had been a homemaker.
Surviving Clara Jobe are her three sons, Elmer Jobe, Carol, Melvin Jobe and Peggy and Ronnie Jobe Frances all of Tucumcari, NM; 7 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Billy and George Shoemaker and one sister, Maxine and one sister-in-law Hazel Shoemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl C. Jobe in 1995. Also preceded by two brothers; two sisters; an infant son; son, Robert Parker and by an infant daughter.
Funeral Services will be Monday, October 27, 2008, at 2:30 PM in the Dunn Memorial Chapel with Pastor Gene Hawkins and Pastor Bill Bowman officiating. Pall Bearers will be Stanley Newby, Mike Horne, Lewis Parker, Billy Bob Parker, Elmer Jobe Jr., Frankie Gutierrez and Mel Jobe. Interment will be in the family plot of the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery in Tucumcari, NM.
Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home, Tucumcari, New Mexico 575 461-3815.
