General Notes: Husband - Thomas Reese
The 1775 will of Thomas Reese identifies Thomas as one of his sons. He receives most of his father's estate and is probably the eldest son. He also has a son named Thomas. The will also identifies 3 other sons, Henry, John and Francis.
A document that can be seen in the notes under Henry Reese (1777-1856) says that Henry's grandfather was Thomas Reese and that Henry had uncles Henry, John and Travis (where 'Travis' is probably a mistranscription of 'Francis'). The document also identifies two of Henry's brothers (Eaton and Herod) and 4 of his sisters. It seems highly likely that Henry's grandfather Thomas is the Thomas who wrote his will in 1775. Even though the document that identifies Eaton and Herod as brothers of Henry does not mention Thomas or John as being another brother, evidence from South Carolina shows that Eaton had brothers Thomas and John.
This Thomas Reese thus has 4 identified sons and 4 identified daughters. He is never in the personal property tax lists of Dinwiddie Co., which are available from 1782 onward. Presumably he either died before 1782 or left Dinwiddie Co. before 1782.
EDGEFIELD DISTRICT, SOUTH CAROLINA:
On November 28, 1787 a tract of 450 acres in Edgefield Co., South Carolina on Burnets Creek, a branch of Little Saluda River, was surveyed for Thomas Rees. A plat can be seen at http://www.archivesindex.sc.gov/. Enter "Rees" in the search box and look for "Rees, Thomas". A reference to this tract as adjoining property is in a grant made to James Spann on Dry Creek of Big Creek of Little Saluda River March 2, 1790 for 530 acres.
The Saluda River is the northern boundary of Saluda County, which was formed in 1896 from Edgefield Co. The Little Saluda River flows northeasterly (mostly easterly) into the Saluda River in the northeast corner of Saluda Co. west of Lake Murray. The following map is instructive:

Edgefield County South Carolina Abstracts of Deed Books 1-12 1786-1796 (compiled by Ge Lee Corley Hendrix, 1985) contains a very useful map of waterways in Edgefield Co. Burnet's Creek flows into Little Saluda River from the north. Big Creek is downstream about 2 miles on the north side, and the upper part of Dry Creek is near the upper part of Burnet's Creek. Red Bank Creek is about 3 miles upstream from Burnet's Creek and is also north of Little Saluda River. The town of Saluda, whose name was originally Red Bank, is north of the river and between Burnet's Creek and Red Bank Creek.
On January 29, 1788 Thomas (his X mark) Rees/Reese is a witness to the sale of 300 acres originally granted to Jacob Berry in 1762 (Edgefield Co. Deed Records, Book 19, pgs 414-21, image 214/521). That tract is on both sides of Little Saluda River and on both sides of Richland Creek. Richland Creek flows into the river on the south side midway between Burnet's Creek and Big Creek.
On June 5, 1789 Thomas Pulley sells 100 acres on the south side of Little Saluda River between lands of John Billops and Thomas Reace (Book 11, pgs 334-37, image 599/639). In 1786 190 acres were granted to Thomas Pulley with frontage on the south side of the river. John Bullop is mentioned in the grant, but Thomas Reese is not. Eskridge is mentioned in both. It appears that Thomas Reese also acquired land south of the river.
