MILES, Oct. 16--J. B. Baker, 81, retired stock famer of Miles, died at 1 p. m. Sunday of pneumonia. He had been ill for five weeks. Death came in a San Angelo hospital.
Graveside services were held in the Miles Cemetery at 2 p. m. Monday with the Rev T. E. Funderburk, pastor of the Harris Ave. Baptist Church at San Angelo, officiating. Woodmen of the Warld[sic] held special rites. Lacey Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
Born Oct. 17, 1860, at Jacksboro, Tex., Mr. Baker moved to Runnels County, Dec. 18, 1889. He had been married to Miss Mattie Hinkle in Ellis County, Feb. 17, 1885.
Mr. Baker had been a member of the W. O. W. for 35 years.
Survivors include the widow; two sons E. C. Baker of Bronte and J. B., Jr., of Sinton; four daughters, Mrs. Joe E. Neill of Terrell, Mrs. H. C. Haynes of Dallas, Mrs. E. K. Whitaker of Wichita Falls, and Mrs. R. C. Crabb of San Angelo, and two sisters, Mrs. W. A. Brundage of Midlothian and Mrs. Belle Waldron, Miles.

DEATH:
According to Texas Death Certificate 36025 (State File No.) Martha Ann Baker was living at 1343 Tyler in San Angelo before she died June 18, 1958 at 4:00 p.m. at the age of 89 years 11 months and 22 days. She died of myocarditis and hypostatic pneumonia. She was a retired housewife and a widow who had been living in San Angelo for 19 years. Her father was B. Hinkle and her mother's name was unknown. The informant was Mrs. H. C. Haynes [her daughter].
