An indenture made September 24, 1798 between John and William Sharp of the County of Green in the State of Kentucky and Joseph Hinds of the County of Knox in the State of Tennessee is mostly legible but partly illegible. John and William are heirs at law of their father ________ Sharp, deceased, and they appear to transfer their interest in any land in his estate to Joseph. Joseph does not appear to offer any consideration. The indenture is styled "John & Wm. Sharp Deed Release to Joseph Hinds", and it is signed by John Sharp and William Sharp in the presence of Joseph (his X mark) Hinds and Joseph Bowe.
