The handwritten word in the 1824 marriage record of Sally Witt and Ben Wester appears to be 'second'. It applies to both parties. Sally Witt married Reuben Willard in 1816. Curiously Reuben Willard has a wife in both the 1820 and 1830 censuses in Logan Co. There is only one marriage record for Reuben Willard in Logan Co. Was there a separation between Sally and Reuben, or were there two Sally Witts?
