LAND:
On November 26, 1834 George Hinds and his wife Mary sold their 64 acres on Fall Creek to John Bond for $200. It is described in the deed as "being a part of Joseph Hines 100 acre tract which was entered, surveyed, and patented in the name of said Joseph Hinds lying on Fall Creek". (Bk F, pgs 378-79) On September 17, 1838, John Bond and Mary Ann, his wife, sold the same tract for $250 to Allen and Jane Christian. (Bk G, pgs 443-44)
MARRIAGES and CHILDREN:
In Wayne Co. Kentucky Pioneers by June Baldwin Bork, volume 4, there is a multipage description of the Bond family. On page 246 there is a sketch of John Bond. He was born in Wayne Co. in about 1801, the son of Joseph Bond and Abigail Hinds. He first married in Wayne Co. Marian Brady, and they had 4 children, Martha D., Isaac R., William H., and Joseph H. He married second Mary Ann "Polly" Baker, and they had 6 children born in Missouri, Berry Carter, Joel Jasper, Charity Jane, John Stephen, James S., and Lewis Jackson. The sketch says that after his second marriage, he moved to Cole Co., Missouri, but in the 1840 census and later he is in Miller Co.
HINDS INTERMARRIAGES:
Joel, William, Joseph, and Isaac Bond are brothers. Joel married Jane Hinds, and William married her sister Charity. Joseph married Abigail Hinds, an aunt of Jane and Charity. William's son John Washington Bond married Charity's first cousin Margaret Hinds, a daughter of George Hinds. Isaac's daughter Jane N. Bond married Charity's second cousin Benjamin Hinds, a son of Joseph Hinds. Joseph's son John Bond married Marian Brady (see Joseph Hinds's will).
General Notes: Wife - Marian Brady
The will of Joseph Hinds who died in 1820 mentions 4 people by name (Minerva Brady, Mariann Brady, John Brady, and Charity Brady) and says that they are to have an equal share. It is not clear what relationship they had to Joseph Hinds. For convenience I have listed them as siblings, but I have no evidence that they were siblings.
