Beatrice Brown was born to William Addison Brown and Della Reese in May 1890 in Hill County, Texas. Her mother died when she was very young and her father married Sarah Anna Crosley, my grandmother. Beatrice was a half sister to my father, Malkum K. Brown. Beatrice married William Charles Nelson in Granbury, Texas. They parted and she moved to Arizona, then to California.

She married a man whose last name was George.

This is a picture of William Addison Brown with two of his daughters, Etta Jo & Beatrice.

Beatrice was 16 years older than my father and when he was little he couldn't say Beatrice, so he called her "Bop." So she was always known to us as "Aunt Bop."
