FIRST MARRIAGE:
"Kentucky, County Marriage Records, 1783-1965" at ancestry.com is a typewritten transcription of the original record, and the name of Elisha Franklin's first wife is Polly Coyl. The discussion at http://azstrong.tripod.com/jd_letha/legacy/902.htm indicates that her name was Polly Coe and that her parents were Joshua Coe and Rachel Paul.
PROBATE:
In response to an order of the September term of the Wayne County Court, an inventory and appraisement of the estate of Elisha Franklin was submitted to the court on October 10, 1840. Lemuel Locket was the administrator. Far and away the most valuable item was a 16-year-old slave named Moses worth $500. A sale took place on October 13, 1840. Elizabeth Franklin bought 5 hogs, 1 cow, most of the furniture and household items, and a few other items. William Lockett bought a chisel; Lewis Parker bought a drill; and Lemuel Lockett bought 3 hogs and several farm items. Moses was not sold.
