JAMES A. HINES DIES
 James A. Hines, son of John and Julie Anna Hines, born January 16, 1868, died June 29, 1948 at Argyle, being 80 years, 5 months, and 3 days old. He was united in marriage to Euna A. Easterley on October 21, 1894. To this union were born one son Melvin Hines. His wife preceded him in death January 1, 1944. He professed faith in Christ as his savior and joined the Valley Oak Baptist Church about 30 years ago. Since that time he has lived a consecrated Christian life and was noted for his regular attendance at church and Sunday School. He is survived by his son Melvin and daughter-in-law Purlesy Hines, 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, his brother Marion Hines and a host of relatives and friends whose hearts are saddened by his death.
