PLEASANT H WILSON DEAD. Mrs. R. M. Wilkins was called to Champaign again Monday morning as the condition of her father had grown worse. He died that evening about 5 o'clock [Oct 13, 1913]. Pleasant H Wilson was eighty-two years old on Sept. 27. He had been ill only a week, having taken a cold which developed into pneumonia. He was an old soldier, having served in the was with the 26th Illinois Infantry. The funeral services were held at the residence in Champaign Thursday morning at 9:30 o'clock. The G. A. R. had charge of the service. Interment was at Mt Hope Cemetery. [The Decatur Review. Thursday Evening, October 16, 1913. Page 7.]
