BEDFORD CO., VIRGINIA PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX LIST:

David Reese is in the Bedford Co., Virginia personal property tax list for the first time in 1803, and he is there continuously until 1835 (last year in which I have seen the list) with a few absences. In 1803 and in 1804 he lives in the Northern District; after that he is always in the Southern District. He usually has one horse and sometimes two or three. The number of slaves varies from one to three; he often has none. From 1803 until 1828 he is simply David; in 1829 and later he is usually David B.
