General Notes: Husband - Cumberland Clabaugh

Cumberland Clabaugh is present in Sevier Co., Tennessee at the same time as Samuel Clabaugh and William Clabaugh. He is clearly related to them, but how? Betty Harrell in her book on page 19 says that Cumberland is Samuel's eldest son and refers to him as "presumed son".

Cumberland may have been named for his father's brother-in-law Cumberland Ferguson.

Samuel's brother John named one of his sons Cumberland F. Clabaugh.
