BURIAL:

According to "Barren County, Kentucky Cemetery Records" (Brice T. Leech, Kenneth Beard, 1992) William Grinstead and his son Joseph D. have markers in both the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery and the Grinstead Cemetery. In the Glasgow Cemetery, Levina, Lucy G., Joseph D., and Carrol K. are on the same stone as William, and all of them have both birth and death dates. In the Grinstead Cemetery William is "Sept 3, 1865 aged 62 years" and Joseph D. is "Feb 24, 1863 aged 26 years".

THE WILLIAM GRINSTEAD FAMILY IN AMERICA (Gorrell Shumaker and John L. N. Grinstead, April 1974):

pg 164: Lavina Grinstead (2-23-1803--4-15-1885) MARRIED (2-4-1826) William Grinstead (3-20-1802--9-3-1865), a cousin. Both were born in Virginia. They were married in Kentucky, consent of her father, Philip. (See Courthouse records).

BURIAL:

Barren County, Kentucky Cemetery Records compiled by Brice T. Leech and Kenneth Beard (1992) states on page 199 that Levina Grinstead and Lucy G. Grinstead are on the same stone as William Grinstead. That would establish a connection between Levinia and Lucy G. and would substantiate the claim that Levinia is the daughter of Phillip and Lucy G. Grinstead.
