On 6 Aug 1847 Mary M. McGee sold to James Cowan for $50 "a 1/11th interest in the lands of Samuel Hinds on the Cumberland River". She says that she is the daughter and only heir of Samuel McGee, deceased, who married a daughter of Samuel Hinds. (Bk K, pg 56, Wayne Co., Ky)
