WHO WAS HIS FATHER?
William O. Reese was born in about 1806. Among the older sons of Hugh Reese, Senior, by his first wife, Benjamin, Jeremiah, and Hugh do not have a son about 14 years old in the 1820 census. William and Moses do not have an entry in the 1820 census. William O. Reese may or may not be a son of Hugh Reese, Senior's son William.

William O. Reese, 43, married, born in Georgia died in August of congestion. He was ill 9 days.
General Notes: Wife - Prudence D. Reese
Prudence may have been a granddaughter of Hugh Reese, Senior and thus a first cousin of her first husband William O. Reese (assuming that he was a grandson of Hugh Reese, Senior). Three of Hugh's sons have a daughter about 7 years old in the 1820 census -- Benjamin, Jeremiah, and Hugh, Junior.

In 1870 Prudence D. Wade (54, Ga) is living in Cherokee Co., Georgia in the household of her son William M. Reese (22, Ga, $1300/$300, Farmer & M G).
In 1880 William M. Reese (34, Ga, School Teacher) is living in Sabine Co. Texas with his wife, two sons, and two boarders. Since his mother is buried in Sabine Co., it is obvious that she went to Texas with him.
