FIRST MARRIAGE:
The evidence for the marriage between François Crilis and Adalec Pierre is from the baptismal records of their son Antoine. He was baptized February 24, 1850. One of the baptismal records (234/315) seems to say that the child will be 11 years old March 14, 1850 and that he was provisionally baptized (ondoyé) in St. Louis by a priest.
Adalec and her child may correspond to another François Crilis, of which there are several.
DEATH:
A facsimile copy of his death certificate at Find-a-Grave Memorial # 96239915 says that Francis Creeley, farmer, died 24 Feb 1899 at age 80 years 10 months 20 days. That date and age are not consistent with his birth date of 31 May 1818.
