Sophia was married to Calvin Hinds on November 7, 1822 at Madison County, AL. His parents were Levi Monroe Hinds and Hulda Byram from Knox County, TN. Sophia's parents were John Frederick Culp and Mary Flanagan from Louisa County, Virginia. Calvin and Sophia lived for a few years in Marshall County, AL before moving on to Lamar County, TX. The Antioch First Christ Church records gives Sophia's death date and also says that husband died in Spring of 1879. The records are found in the Lamar County Genealogy Society Library in Paris, TX.
