General:
Benjamin has the right name, is of the right age, and is in the right places to be a son of Tyrance Emerson and Ann Downing. One of Benjamin's sons, Andrew, is presumably named for Benjamin's brother Andrew. Richwoods Township is immediately south of Blue Mountain Township, where various Hinkle families live.

There is, however, a problem. We have exact birth dates for Benjamin and his sister Mary from their tombstones. They are about 3 months apart. Tombstone inscriptions are usually correct, but not always. It may be that one of the birth dates is wrong. Or, it may be that either Benjamin or Mary is someone else's child whose parents died and who was taken in by Tyrance Emerson and his wife and raised as their child.
