Sarah was born in Highland Co., OH, the daughter of Sanford Clore (1840-1901) and Elizabeth Knedler. Her sister, Leah Clore, married Charles W. Grinstead. Josiah and Sarah were married in Davis Co., IA. Eight children: Elmer LaMont, Mabel Alma, Nora Elizabeth (Dottie), India Etta, Winfred Leon, Edith Ora, Eva Elzora, and Carl Joseph Grinstead."
