Based on the census Levi was born in 1770. Based on the order of children in his father's will he was born before Simeon, who is said to have been born 11 Apr 1769. We will say that Levi was born in about 1768.

On the Petition of Huldah Hinds Widow of Levi Hinds deceased against Levi Hinds Administrator of Levi Hinds Senior late of said County deceased for her Dower in the Lands of which Levi Hinds dec'd died seized and possessed and which is described in said petition as the East half Quarter of Section Six Township four Range Two East Containing Eighty acres also her Dower in the personal Estate of said decedant in the County and State aforesaid all of which she is entitled to Dower and the said Administartor having served notice of said Petition and appearing before said Court and maming no defence or objection to the prayor of said Petitioner it is now ordered and decreed that a writ of Dower be isued accordingly and returnable to the next term of this Court thereafter &c
The following on pages 557-58 (images 1835-36 in Volumes 6-9) is neatly written on prelined paper and is probably a copy of a previous record. The list of heirs is different from the list on page 75 (image 48/604 in Volumes 10-11) and several lists in images 455-494/1056 in "Loose records Rebecca Hilliard - Isham Hobbs", all at familyearch.org. The clearest list of heirs is probably in Huldah Hinds's request for dower on image 475/1056 in the loose records. See below. The lists on 455/1056 and on 474/1056 appear to be in chronological birth order. 472/1056 is a continuation of 474/1056.

On the Petition of Levi Hinds Administrator of Levi Hinds late of Said County deceased who died intestate for a sale of all that tract or parcel of Land Lying and being in the County of Madison in the State of Alabama and known and described as the East half Quarter of Section Six Township four Rang Two East out of which dower has been granted and laid off also for sale of the following negroes to wit Bill a man about Twenty three years of age Grealford a Boy about 9 years of age Hannah a woman about Twenty three years of age Mary a girl about 3 years of age Tom a man about 41 years of age also Tom a boy about 2 years of age, and the said Levi Hinds departed this life on the 11th day of September last, and your petitioner represents to your Honor that said decedant left the following heirs, to wit, your petitioner, Calvan Hinds Joseph Hinds Byram Hinds Clasy Fry the wife of Soleman Fry Elizabeth Hinds Lucinda Fariss the wife of Solomon Fariss all of the County of Marshall in the State of Alabama Hannah Coldwell the wife of Absolum Coldwell Milly Weaver the wife of Daniel Weaver of Jefferson County Alabama Benjamin Hinds who died intestate in the State of Arkansas on the 30th day of November 1829 leaving as Lawful heirs the following children Vincent W Hinds of Arkansas Lincey C Hinds of Madison County Alabama Benjamin Hinds Byram Hinds Wm Hinds Margy Hinds (Infants) each of whom reside in Marshall County Alabama Lydia Rigney widow of Henry Rigney decd of Madison County Ala. Your Petitioner further showeth that letters testamintary were granted to your petitioner of said intestated intestate on the 3rd of October 1842 as administrator thereof your petitioner further showeth that said decendant died sised and possessed of the following described property to wit six slaves Bill a man about 23 years of age Gullford a boy about 9 years of age Hannah a woman about 23 years of age Mary a girl about 3 years of age Tom a man about 41 years of age also Tom a boy about 2 years of age Also eighty acres of Land lying in said County known & described as the east half Quarter of Section six Township four range 2E out of all of which dower has been granted your petitioner further showeth that the estate of said decedent cannot be equally fairly and benefically divided without sale of the same. Therefore your petitioner prays, that your honer will order the sale of the negroes & real estate except that portion assigned as Dower) so that each one of the aforesaid heirs can obtain his just & legal portion of the said decendents estate
