Marshall M. Hitt's Will
In the Name of God Amen I M. M. Hitt being of Sound Mind and Memory and Considering the uncertainty of frail and transitory life do therefore make, ordain publish and declare [this] to be my last Will and Testament. That is to Say after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged, the residue of my Estate of whatever it may Consist, I Give and bequeath to my brother Daniel M. Hitt during the term of his natural life, Also all the property that I now have or may have at the time of my death, I give and bequeath to Daniel M. Hitt his heirs or assigns forever. Like Wise I make, Constitute and appoint my Said Brother Daniel M. Hitt to be Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Wills by me made. In Winess whereof I have hereunto Subscribed name and affixed my Seal this Twenty Sixth day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty Four (Signed) Marshall M. Hitt
