Notes
General:
HUSBAND:

A typescript of the will of Sarah's father Shearwood James can be seen at http://www.archivesindex.sc.gov/. It is entitled "James, Shearwood Of Saint Marks Parish, Kershaw County Will Typescript (Mss Will: Camden District Estate Record Book A1, Page 142; Estate Packet: Apt. 129, Pkg. 5086) (3 Frames). Date: 1783-1784".

The following item shows that his daughter Sarah was married to a man with surname Rees who had a son named Richey. Benjamin Rees had a son named Richey.

Item I give & bequeath unto my Grandson Richey Rees Son of my Daughter Sarah Rees one Negro Girl named Luce, I give the same to him & his Heirs forever.

CHILDREN:

For two deeds related to the inheritance of her dower, see notes under her first husband Benjamin Reese.

DEATH DATE:

A deed of 25 May 1827 indicates that Robert Walton and his wife Sarah are both alive on that date. See notes under Sarah's first husband. Robert Walton does not appear to be in the 1830 census. He probably died before 1830. Sarah may have died or she may be living with one of her children.
