September 8, 1927
John Kifer, aged 75 died Monday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Sears at Franks. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday by Rev. W.H. Nettles at Franks Cemetery. Mr. Kifer was an old timer in Pontotoc county, having come here 23 years ago. He was a consistent Christian and a man highly respected by all who knew him. He made his home with his son, L.O. Kifer near Rolf.
