OBITUARY.
Died at the residence of her son, Joel L. Reece, near Rienzi, Miss., on the 2nd of October, 1857, after a lingering and painful illness, Mrs. POLLY REECE, in the 79th year of her age.
She was born in Bedford county, Va., during the stormy period of the Revolution--was a daughter of Col. Littleberry Leftwich, and inherited all that devotion to and love of country that characterized her ancestry, not only through the war of Independence, but through all subsequent wars.
