page 269 -- On July 6, 1730 Benjamin Lockett Senj'r of the parish of Britoll and the County of Henrico "for the Natural Love and Affection that I bear unto my Daughter Deborah" gives and bequeaths to her "one Negro Girll Named Lucy". He also gives her one bed and furniture commonly called her bed, four head of cattle two young and two old, and one horse or mare about two or three years old.
