See Chapter XII of SOUTHERN KITH AND KIN, Volume 1, "The Locketts" (Jewel Davis Scarborough, 1951). The following is on page 185 in that chapter.

2-3. Gideon Lockett. Gideon Lockett's will is on file in Powhatan County, (W.B. 3:153) dated Dec. 4th, 1805, probated March 16th, 1808. In it he mentions his daughter Phoebe Alen; daughter, Martha Lockett; daughter Patience Godsey; daughter Rhoda Reams; daughter Mary Bell (or Ball); daughter Winnifred Lockett; son, Stephen Lockett. Gideon did not mention his wife, so we presume that she died before he did. The Executors of the will were Edward Mosley, Francis Lewis, and Thomas Watkins. We know that there was another son, Benajah, though he was not mentioned in the will, for on April 15th, 1790, Gideon deeds his son Benajah, 75 acres of land. (D.B. I; 560, Powhatan County.) Gideon Lockett served in the Powhatan Militia, being appointed an Ensign Nov. 19th, 1778. (Gwathmey, page 480.)
