In the Name of God Amen I Jane Lockett of the County of Chesterfield being brought to the Remembrance of my Mortality and the frailty of this Temporal Life by the Gracious Hand of Almighty God Visiting me with Sickness yet of Perfect Memory Praised be god Therefore I make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz.
First I Resign my Soul to god that gave it in hopes of his Acceptance through the Merits and Mediation of his Beloved son my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and my Body to the Eath [sic] from whence it was formed to be intered in such manner as my hereafter Executors shall think fit
Item I give and Bequeath to my Sister Winnefred Locket my Fether Bed and Furniture to her and to her Heirs forever
I also Desire my Part of the Estate that Belonged to my Mother at her Death that is to be Equally divided between my three Sisters Susanna Ashbrook & Margaret Lockett & Winnefred Lockett before mentioned
I also Desire my Mare and my Cow and Calf to be equally divided between my three sisters before mentioned
I also Desire that the Money my Father left me in his Will to be also Equally divided between my three Sisters before mentioned as they shall agree when the Youngest of my Sisters shall come of Age
I also Desire the Mare & Cow and Calf to be sold and the Money Put out upon Interest till the Youngest of my Sisters Comes of Age to have it divided.
I do Constitute and Appoint my Brother Benjamin Lockett and my Brother In Law Joseph Ashbrook my Whole and Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament Revoking all Wills by me made heretofore In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seals 13th Day of January In the Year of Christ 1759

March Court 1759 (March 2) -- The last will and testament of Jane Locket, dec'd, is presented in court by Benjamin Locket and Joseph Ashbrook, the executors therein named, and proved by the oaths of John Baugh, Francis Locket, and Robert Haskins, witnesses thereto. A certificate for obtaining a probate is granted to the executors. Appraisers are appointed.

The total value of the undated inventory of the estate of Jane Lockett, dec'd, is £30 14s 1.5d. The inventory is sparse; it includes her part of her mother's estate in cash (£14 7/1.5), £6 due from her father's will, one mare (£7 7/-), and something else (£1 15/-).
