General:

I can't find Robert, Green, or King Lockett anywhere in the US in 1810 or in 1820. Prior to 1810 King Lockett does not appear in the land tax or personal property tax lists of Chesterfield Co. However, on December 23, 1814 he is a witness at the wedding in Chesterfield Co. of Francis Cheatham and Nancy Fluornoy.

AGE:

In 1802 Green Lockett is an orphan. He is certainly less than 21, and he is probably less than 16. In the 1790s and later free males over 16 were often listed as additional tithes in their father's household. Green Lockett was probably born in 1786 or later. If the children of Francis Lockett were listed in his will in chronological order, then King Lockett was probably the youngest child and thus born in 1788 or later. His father's will indicates that in March 1800 he was under 21.
