In the name of God, Amen! I Elizabeth S. Hitt calling to mind the uncertainty of life, that it is appointed once for all to die, being of sound and disposing mind, and being disirous of disposing of all such worldly Estate as it hath pleased God to bless me with, do make and ordain this my last will in manner following: Viz
I resign my soul to God who gave it and my body to the dust from whence it came.
It my will and desire immediately after my death that my hereinafter named Executor, do sell all of my Estate both real and personal, consisting of lands, negros and horses, and all property of any kind as accumulated by me Since the death of my husband.
It is my desire that my Executor dispose of my clothes by distributing of them amongst my several son's wives.
I will a devise out of the monies arising out of the sales of my Estate, that all my just debts be paid, the residue or ballance of the monies to be equally divided, share and share about, between my Sons Jesse, William, Henry, Benjamin, Martin, and their children.
& Lastly I do constitute and appoint my son William my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking all others by me heretofore made, this eighteenth day of June, 1844.

William Hitt bought 3 items; total $62.15
Henry Hitt bought the McGowen tract for $1310 and 9 other items; total $1344.945
Five other buyers paid $144.02 for various items. Total proceeds were $3294.95.
In the following document the total amount paid to the children of Elizabeth Hollingsworth ($3028.14) is greater than the amount paid to each of the 4 sons of Elizabeth Hitt. For clarification see images 193 and 194 in the probate papers of Elizabeth's husband Henry Hitt. Elizabeth's son William, the executor, also received a share.
