THE NEWS-DEMOCRAT,
PADUCAH, KENTUCKY,
FRIDAY MORNING, AUGUST 25, 1911.

MRS. GEO. C. CRUMBAUGH

Following the few days illness of pneumonia, Mrs. George C. Crumbaugh died Thursday morning at 3 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. N. S. Walker, Dyesburg, Tenn. Her remains arrived here last evening and were removed to the home of her daughter, Mrs. George H. Goodman, Twenty-first and Jefferson street. Funeral services at 4 o'clock this afternoon will be conducted at the Broadway Methodist church by the Rev. W. C. Sellers, formerly pastor of the church but now of Union City, Tenn.
Mrs. Crumbaugh, before her marriage to Mr. George Crumbaugh, was Miss Evelyn Parker. She was born at Cedar Hill, Ky. 63 years ago, where she was wedded to her husband, who survives her. Since her marriage she resided in Paducah until one year ago when she removed to Meridian, Miss., to join her son, Mr. Lee Crumbaugh.
During her residence here she was an active member of the Broadway Methodist church and also prominent in charity work.
At the time of her sudden demise, Mrs. Crumbaugh was visiting in Dyesburg. She contracted the cold which finally resulted in death while riding from her son's home in Meridan. Her husband and children were at her bedside when she fell into an unending sleep.
Besides her husband she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. George H. Goodman, of this city, Miss Kate Crumbaugh, of Meridian, Miss., and Mrs. N. S. Walker, of Dyesburg, Tenn. and one son, Mr. George C. Crumbaugh, Jr., of St. Louis.
Dr. Sellers was the deceased's pastor during years of Mrs. Crumbaugh's residence in this city, and it was for this reason that he will conduct the services today.
The pallbearers will be: Active-- Saunders Fowler, Frank Mantz, W. J. Gilbert, Sam Hubbard, Robert Scott and S. H. Winstead. Honorary-- F. M. McGlathery, Lloyd Sweatman, Charles Gleaves, W. A. Martin and J. A. Rudy.
