MINISTER:

A biographical sketch of his nephew Joseph Edmond Parker (son of Henry Nelson) says that he was a Methodist minister and that he was deceased at the time the sketch was written (about 1898).

DEATH:

An obituary of his mother, who died in August 1852, indicates that he died before she did.

Volume II of The History of Methodism in Kentucky (A. H. Redford, 1868) mentions Lorenzo D. Parker twice. On page 171 in a report of the 12 men admitted on trial at the 1832 conference, it is said that Lorenzo D. Parker and Foster H. Blades each gave six years to the service. Then on page 224 in a report of the 1838 conference held at Danville it is stated that Lorenzo D. Parker died during the year. Thus it appears that he died about 1838. However, he appears to be in the 1840 census.
