Notes
General:
Elizabeth Parse is mentioned 4 times in the will of her father as "my Daughtr: Eliza: Parse" or "my sd: Daughter Eliza: Parse". She is bequeathed two cows and two calves, two sows, two pewter dishes, one pewter basin, one 4-gallon pot (the best of two), his longest spit, one dripping pan, and 300 acres. The land is presumably where her father currently lives as it is called "ye Seat of Land whereon I am seated".
The other two beneficiaries in the will are John Parse's stepsons John and William Grinstead. They receive 500 acres to be divided between them and various items. The will makes it very clear that all 3 children are not yet of age.
It may be that John Parse was a widower when he married Elizabeth Grinstead, the widow of William Grinstead, and that the mother of Elizabeth Parse is John's first wife. Or her mother may be Elizabeth Grinstead. We know nothing about John Parse's first wife (if he had one), and it will be convenient to say that Elizabeth Parse's mother is Elizabeth Grinstead
