Notes
General:
The wills of the brothers Hugh Reese and Benjamin Reese indicate that each of them had a son named Jeremiah. In 1820 in Columbia Co., Georgia there is a census entry for Jeremiah, Junior and one for Jeremiah, Senior. It is not obvious which Jeremiah corresponds to which father. Because old Benjamin had a son Benjamin T. and because Jeremiah, Senior also had a son named Benjamin T., I have chosen, somewhat arbitrarily, to say that Jeremiah, Senior, the one who later went to Monroe Co., Mississippi, is the son of Benjamin and that Jeremiah, Junior is the son of Hugh.
Various transactions in the deed records of Columbia Co. from 1792 until 1822 involve Jeremiah Reese. It is generally not obvious which Jeremiah is involved.
