RITES PLANNED TODAY FOR J.M.B. REESE, 79

J.M.B. Reese, 79, died Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C.E.M. Fendley at 2319 10th Street after an illness lasting nine weeks. Mr. Reese formerly resided in Pickens County but 19 years ago moved to Alberta City where he operated a grocery store.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Davis Reese of Gordo, and Charlie Reese of Northport, and three daughters, Mrs. C.E.M. Fendley of Tuscaloosa, Mrs. Myrtle Fair of Gordo, and Mrs. T. M. Mullenix of Birmingham. Also surviving are 28 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock this afternoon from the Sands Springs church near Gordo with the Rev. Elisha Brown officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery by Jones and Spigener.
