BEDFORD CO., VIRGINIA PESONAL PROPERTY TAX LIST:

Benjamin F. Reese is in the Bedford Co., Virginia personal property tax list in 1833 and in 1835 (the last year in which I have seen the list). He has 1 slave and 1 horse. If he became 21 in 1833, he was born in about 1812. However, his father died before 1810 (his mother has her own census entry in 1810).

DEATH:

Benjamin F. Reese apparently died between February 1841, when part of his father's estate was allotted to him, and October 5, 1841, when his sister Sophia Thurman purchased from her other siblings the portion that had been allotted to Benjamin, who is referred to as 'deceased' in the deed.

Benjamin F. Reese is not in the 1840 census. He might have died before 1840.
